The Bachelor of Music in Performance degree is a course of study that prepares a student for a professional career in music, with a focus on pre-professional training. As a piano student in this popular degree program, take courses in music theory and history, piano pedagogy and literature, and conducting. Hone your talent on your primary instrument through eight semesters of instruction from our outstanding faculty of artists and teachers. You'll perform in recitals, play in large and small ensembles, learn to compose and orchestrate pieces, and present junior and senior recitals.
While studying towards your degree, you'll benefit from a variety of guest masterclasses and performances on campus, along with musical events and activities within the larger St. Louis community. You also may seize the opportunity to study in Vienna, one of the oldest musical capitals in the world.
