International students typically undertake an internship as Curricular Practical Training (CPT) Students should consult with a representative from International Recruitment and Services in order to review U.S. regulations, confirm eligibility, and receive approval prior to completing the Walker School process.

Students interested in earning academic credit for an internship should consult with their department coordinator as soon as an internship is confirmed in order to confirm eligibility. Walker School students can participate in mentoring partnerships to develop a professional network and receive professional guidance. There are two ways to get involved in mentoring:

Webster Mentoring Program

Mentors provide one-on-one guidance and support to students by interacting with them, exchanging ideas, and sharing their experiences and knowledge of career paths. Mentors serve as role models and leaders as they help students reach their career goals. This program is open to all University alumni, parents, donors and friends and is open to all Webster students to benefit as a mentee.

RBC Mentor Network

Walker School undergraduate students are invited to participate in the Regional Business Council (RBC) Mentor Network. Students are individually paired with a CEO or top executive of an RBC company to receive practical, real-world knowledge and advice on post-graduate opportunities. This is a selective program with a focus on students committed to the St. Louis Region.

Partnering with the Walker School is an opportunity to tell your organization’s story year-round and attracts quality candidates for professional positions. To learn more about how your organization can participate, connect with Kerry Lee, Interim Director - 314-968-6982 or kerrylee70@webster.edu.
